Heat pumps feature in IEA 10-point plan to reduce EU reliance on Russian gas

The International Energy Agency has developed a 10-point plan for European Union members to reduce their reliance on natural gas from Russia following its invasion of Ukraine.

If implemented this year, the recommended measures could reduce Russian gas imports by a third to mitigate potential gas shortages and their impacts as a result of the conflict. Implementation of the measures could also help EU member countries accelerate progress towards their net zero ambitions.
